Tying in with Tom's comments about immersion in gaming, I thought this article about surviving IKEA by viewing it as a video game was hilarious:

Sorry to post so late. Just found your Blog by checking who links to mine :)

The Animator In-Joke article has a lot of its facts wrong. The penis-spire on the cover was A). Not drawn by an animator (it was done by the cover artist), and B). Was not intentionally made to be a penis. Snopes.com has the skinny.

Also, the priest in Mermaid does not have a "canoe in his pocket" as they claim. It's merely his knees bending. His legs are only like six inches long, so if he squats down, it can be easily mis-interpreted that it's something else. At any rate, whoever wrote that article seemed to just grab any old urband animation legend and latch onto it, regardless to the amount of truth in it. Again, Snopes.com has most of the real info.

Now what the guy who wrote it *doesn't* know is the stuff we put in and don't tell anyone about. Like how Buster Bunny in one of the Tiny Toons Movies (on VHS) has a condom falling out of his pocket as he's spiraling down to earth, or the naked woman in the window who's probably off camera in an earlier shot.

I can't remember many of mine; they were mostly just harmless things like funny license plates on cars, etc.
